So what is a Secret Santa?For those of you who haven't participated in the past or need a quick refresher, a Secret Santa is just a fun version of a gift exchange! This game is traditionally played by people drawing names of their friends randomly and being tasked with (secretly!) getting them a Christmas gift!
(fun fact : it may be called guardian angel as well!!!)In our online version of the event, (originally hosted by Ender and Blue over on Instagram) we're switching it up a bit to be a fun community collaboration for the whole HermitCraft fandom (including anything any hermit is in)After signing up, through our google form that opens September 15
You'll be directed to our discord! On November 1st: you'll be given the name and @ of another person, as well as what they'd love for a gift! You will also be given a short list on what they 'do not want' as a gift, please keep that in mind when creating.(for the sake of simplicity we'll be calling the person receiving your gift the "pesky person", because isn't that more fun?)After receiving your pesky person's assignment, its your job to make either an art piece, a short animation, written work, or an edit to be posted on December 25 on your Public Social Media Account!⦿ There will be 50% check in and another 100% check in to make sure your piece is completed before the event finishes.Time zones does not matter, but remember to tag your pesky person so they know the gift is from you!Everyone gets to be both a pesky person and a Secret Santa in this event, so if you create a gift, you'll receive one! :DThe period to enter ends on October 15th, so be quick to fill out this form, and happy creating!Tag the official HCSS account(s) in the posts comments so we can check you off the naughty list once you have posted!---please be sure to read all the rules below before entering (we want to keep this event fun for everyone, so let's all work together!)

_{If you have a private account, and/or are not available on 25th to post the present, please contact mods for further instructions!}2) Participants have to be either in the Hermitcraft, Hermitcraft-Empires SMP crossover, Vault Hunters, and/or The Life Series fandoms. Basically all communities that include Hermits are welcome to join!3) Make sure your gift does not include:
- AI Generated Content
- NSFW/18+ works
- Gore
- Controversial Work
- Cursing
- Shipping
Please be mindful of your gift since there will be underaged gifters contributing to this project.⦿ You have to make exactly what your person wished for before the 25th of December. Please don't stray from the prompt.5) You have to be either an Artist, an Animator, Writer, or an Editor. Feel free to use any medium but please take high quality photos/scans.⦿ You'll be creating 1 completed artwork as your gift
There is no maximum piece count⦿ for written works your piece must hit a 1k minimum unless it is poetry in which please hit a 100 word minimum (flexibility with this one.) There is no maximum word count

(aka don't make a lot of gifts expecting more than one gift back)}6) Once you've entered there's no backing out. If you are unsure if you can make it in time please don't enter. Your time and health is important, and as much as we all love entering these events with high hopes for what we can achieve, its not fair to you or your pesky person to end up at the end of the month with no gift to give.
If theres something that comes up please let us know asap !⦿ Since this is a gifting event: do not tell your pesky person that you are making their gift. That'll spoil the surprise :(
